Why We Founded Sucasa

Our journey began when we realised our friends were being divided into the homeownership ‘haves’ and ‘have nots’. Not because of how hard they worked, the jobs they had, or even whether they were good borrowers or great savers, but primarily based on whether they had access to the Bank of Mum & Dad.



As first and second-generation Australians, 'the lucky country' is more than just a phrase. It's our lived experience. We're beneficiaries of the Australian 'Fair Go' in every sense. We've had access to opportunity, independently of who we are, where we came from, and perhaps most importantly, who our parents are. We think the 'Fair Go' has gone missing from homeownership, and we're determined to help more Australians unlock the dream of owning their home.



We started Sucasa to help you (hard-working, talented Australians) make the house you live in, your home (or Su Casa). We’ve focused on removing fees, reducing upfront costs (your deposit) and optimising loans for young Australian families. What is Sucasa?

‘Su Casa’ roughly translates to ‘your home’ in Spanish.

Are you a mortgage broker or a bank?

Neither!

Instead, we are a non-bank lender. We are an Australian Credit License (ACL) holder with authorisations to provide credit and credit assistance to consumers.

Am I eligible for a home loan with Sucasa?
How are your rates so low? What’s the catch?

The short answer: We’ve focused on helping borrowers who don’t have a “full” 20% deposit. By building a suite of products designed specifically for our borrowers, we’ve been able to make our loans cheaper and more accessible.

There’s no catch.

We’re a mission driven business and our mission is to improve access to homeownership for young Australian families. We’ve done this by creating products we’d use and encourage our friends and family to use. Our loans are simple and we don’t take any equity in your home or have any equity-based incentives.

We’ve worked *very* hard to provide the lowest-cost loans possible and will work even harder to make things even more affordable for you – Australia’s next generation – as we build.

Can I get a pre-approval online?

Yes, we provide pre-approvals. To do this, we assess everything we can without knowing the final property you’ll be purchasing.

As is the market standard, pre-approvals are typically subject to satisfactory valuation of the property you purchase. If you’ve already purchased the property or exchanged contracts we can also go straight to an unconditional approval.

How do I make sure I am getting the best deal on my home loan?

We have a suite of loan products that will benefit you, regardless of whether you are deposit or serviceability constrained.
